Sharing it does not breach a confidentiality, licence, or copyright restriction. Check the cover page of your study — some preparers restrict redistribution.

The information I have given about the association is accurate to my knowledge.

What to send

Who reads it

A person at Ballast reads the document. This is a human review, not an instant automated score. Nothing is graded, rated, or returned to you the moment you press send.

How long it takes

Normally within 2 business days. That is a target, not a guarantee — volume, study length, and holidays affect it. If Ballast cannot meet it, or declines the submission, you are told.

What you get back

A findings letter. For each finding it states the rule that applies, its effective date, what your study currently shows, and what would resolve it. Where a Ballast standard is stricter than the requirement, it says so and labels it as Ballast’s.

What it costs

Nothing. It carries no obligation on either side. Submitting a study does not engage Ballast and does not create a charge.

What it is not

It is not a reserve study and does not update or replace yours. It is not a warrantability determination — only a lender decides whether a project is eligible for agency financing. It is not a grade of the firm that prepared your study, and it is not legal, engineering, or accounting advice.

Your submission is governed by the Study Check Submission Terms, the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy. Ballast does not publish your study or share it outside Ballast without your permission.
